Vantage Forum (VF) is an entrepreneurial advancement initiative of The Elevation Church focused on empowering individuals to achieve the highest levels of distinction in their businesses, careers and other endeavours through provision of resources and information such as this business seminar. GODMAN AKINLABI is the lead pastor of The Elevation Church (TEC), Lagos Nigeria, where he has a God-given mandate to "Make Greatness Common". Prior to TEC, Godman served as an associate pastor for over a decade in Daystar Christian Centre and continues to serve as a member of the faculty of the Daystar Leadership Academy.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, a master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
He is a seasoned and sought-after teacher, trainer, relationship coach and public speaker whose ministry has blessed many all over the world. He is also the author of several critically acclaimed books including:

Ndidi Nwuneli

Founder of LEAP Africa, Co-Founder of AACE Food Processing & Distribution, Partner at Sahel Capital

Topic: Harnessing emerging business opportuinities in Nigeria

Ndidi Nwuneli is the Founder of LEAP Africa, Co-Founder of AACE Food Processing & Distribution, an indigenous agroprocessing company, and a partner at Sahel Capital, an advisory and private equity firm focused on the agribusiness sector in West Africa. She is also the director of the African Philanthropy Forum.

Ndidi started her career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, working in their Chicago, New York and Johannesburg Offices. She returned to Nigeria to serve as the pioneer executive director of the FATE Foundation. She established LEAP Africa and NIA in 2002 and 2003 respectively. LEAP is a respected leadership development organization that works through three divisions: YouthLEAP, BIZLEAP and eLEAP. The organization has worked across Nigeria, impacting thousands of youth, entrepreneurs and professionals and published 11 books and elearning tools on management, lgovernance leadership and ethics. NIA empowers female university students in the Southeastern Nigeria to achieve their highest potential. Ndidi holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree with honors in Multinational and Strategic Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Ndidi was recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and received a National Honor – Member of the Federal Republic from the Nigerian Government. She was listed as one of the 20 Youngest Power African Women by Forbes. She serves on numerous international and local boards including Nestle Nigeria Plc., Nigerian Breweries Plc., and Royal DSM Sustainability Board. Ndidi recently published a book titled “Reaching Millions with Impact.”

Okechukwu Enelamah

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment (MITI)

Okechukwu Enelamah, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment (MITI) As Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment (MITI), Mr. Okechukwu Enelamah oversees policy-making and implementation relating to industrialization of the economy, development of small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), promotion of exports and foreign direct investment, and the expansion of trade. The overall objective of the ministry is to ensure that policies and actions lead to inclusive growth, wealth and job creation, poverty reduction and ensure enhanced service delivery in a manner that will stimulate the growth of the domestic economy for self-reliance and export.

His vision is to work in partnership with all the relevant stakeholders – government, private sector, agencies; to boost Nigeria’s investment attractiveness. This will entail improving the ease of doing business, attracting foreign direct invest, growing the contribution of non-oil economy to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and creating jobs. Prior to taking office on November 11, 2015, Mr. Enelamah worked as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Africa Capital Alliance (ACA), an investment and financial advisory firm which he co-founded in 1998. ACA has now grown to be recognized as a leading private equity firm in West Africa.

Mr. Enelamah has 27 years of private sector experience spanning finance, consulting and auditing (Arthur Andersen & Co.), and private equity. Before co-founding ACA he gained private equity experience working at Zephyr Management L.P. in New York, and South Africa Capital Growth Fund in Johannesburg. ACA’s five funds – Capital Alliance Private Equity Funds I, II, III & IV, and Capital Alliance Property Investment Company (CAPIC) – have raised more than One Billion US Dollars for investment in companies based in Nigeria and across West Africa.

He has served on or chaired the boards of Cornerstone Insurance Plc, UAC of Nigeria Plc, eTranzact International, Flavour Foods Limited, and Landmark Property Development Company; as well as industry groups Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA), and Africa Venture Capital Association (AVCA).

Mr. Enelamah holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Nigeria (1985), and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business (1994). He is also a Chartered Accountant (1992), and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (1997).

He earned Dean’s List honours in his MBBS graduating class at the University of Nigeria, and was awarded national prizes in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) examinations. At the Harvard Business School, he was elected a George F. Baker Scholar, and also named a Loeb Fellow.

John Tani Obaro

Managing Director/CEO of SystemSpecs

Topic: Building an innovative and enduring business in the Nigerian economy

Having enjoyed a successful career with International Merchant Bank (IMB), John Obaro founded SystemSpecs some 25 years ago as a West African Partner to Systems Union, UK, offering the SunSystems suite of solutions. The company soon started developing its own proprietary Payroll and Human Resource Management solution, HumanManager, which has become the preferred choice for many leading public and private sector organisations in Nigeria and West Africa.

In the last decade, SystemSpecs has become a leader in the Nigerian e-Payment space with its Remita solution, which enables efficient and easy payments and collections of funds for Individuals and Corporate Organisations (both public and private) on a SINGLE Inter-Bank platform. Remita is currently the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) adopted payment gateway for the facilitation of the Federal Government’s Treasury Single Account (TSA) project. Remita processes about $6 Billion worth of transactions on a monthly basis.

John Obaro is a distinguished alumnus of both Ahmadu Bello University, University of Lagos, and the Chief Executive Program (CEP3) of Lagos Business School. He has served at various times on the Boards of the Ministerial Advisory Council on Information and Communication Technology, Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria, Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN), Governing Council of the National ICT Incubation Program (iDea), and many more.

He is a fellow of the Center for African Policy Development and Research, Glasgow, Scotland; a Fellow of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS); an ex-member of the Governing Council of Computers Professionals (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN) – the highest industry practice regulatory body; and immediate past 1st Vice President of the Institute of Software Practitioners of Nigeria (ISPON). John Obaro was recently recognised with the honour of Leadership in Technology at the 2016 African Achievement Awards in Scotland and also recognised as the ICT Software Personality of the Year 2016 at the Beacon of ICT (BoICT) Award, in addition to other numerous indigenous and international awards he has received over the years. John Obaro’s successful entrepreneurial adventure in software development architecture has attracted and continues to attract attention from both local and international quarters. The prestigious Lagos Business School (LBS) of the Pan-Atlantic University has written two case studies on SystemSpecs while many newspapers, magazines and journals have also featured him at one time or the other.

He is passionate about the promotion of Nigeria’s indigenous software industry as a capable and comparable rival to anywhere in the world. John Obaro is known in many circles as ‘The Consummate Innovator’. He is a trailblazer on many fronts, and indeed his footprint is evident across many sectors of the Nigerian economy.
